This micro Keychain Fire Starter Includes:
Ferrocerium Rod – Ferro rod fire starters are a favorite fire-starting device among many bushcraft and survival enthusiasts. Ferrocerium is a man-made metallic material that produces sparks in excess of 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit when it's scraped with a rough surface or a sharp edge like that found on your micro tool fire striker.
High Carbon Steel Keychain Striker – every part of this tool can be used as a fire striker to spark your ferrocerium rod.
Micro Tool Keychain Clip – A small clip for attaching this tool to your favorite keychain, or zipper pull!
Keychain Ferro Rod Firestarter - A Paperclip Sized Keychain Fire Starter Kit
With applications in urban emergencies, outdoor exploration, disaster areas, and survival scenarios, the Micro survival kits bridge together the early history of survival with cutting-edge manufacturing and materials, resulting in iconic, timeless, high-utility designs.
Pack the Keychain Fire Starter into places no other gear can go. These micro survival kit sets were created to be easily accessible but are also our most easily concealed tools with the smallest footprint we could manage. Your micro fire kit can replace zippers, sit under bracelet bands, go on keychains, necklaces, and dozens of other places at the same size as a large paperclip. You can stack up to three of our micro tools together in one of our micro tool silencers, forming a micro survival kit, micro fire kit, or general tool kit.
Concealable Keychain Fire Starter
The Micro survival kits are made to be so small and flat that they could be hidden or added just about anywhere. If carrying tools on you isn't your style, you can always put these micro tools in a small tin, backpack, or a hidden pocket patch.
Reusable Design
The Keychain Ferro Rod Firestarter is built to be used, abused, and reused, unlike cheap disposable tools. The incredibly unique Tool Retention System allows you to take out any part of your Survival Keychain Fire Kit, use it, and put it back when you’re finished, making each of our tools reusable.
Take your keychain fire starter out, test it, practice with it, and get familiar with it. That way, if the day ever comes when you want or need to know how to start a fire without a lighter or how to start a fire without matches, you'll know how.
The tool retention system was designed to give the grip you would expect from adhesive or rare earth magnets without the sticky residue or magnetically sticking to everything.
The Perfect Combo
Add the Magnesium Fire Starter Micro Tool to this tool for the perfect combo, and magnesium is a fantastic fire-starting material. Magnesium burns at a temp of about 5,000 F (crazy hot). If your fire kindling happens to be wet, this gives you a much better chance at starting your fire.
