Below are basic instructions on how to pick handcuffs.
- Place your shim between the teeth of the handcuff and push in as far as it will go.
- With pressure on the shim (pushing against the resistance you feel on the shim) gently tighten the handcuffs, allowing the shim to slip in between the teeth.
- You’ll feel the shim slide further into the handcuff, now you can open the handcuffs, remember to keep pressure on the shim you don’t want to accidentally re-engage the handcuffs.
